LU-VE GROUP: CANOEING SILVER AND BRONZE

CUS Pavia, (the Centro Universitario Sportivo of Pavia), sponsored by LU-VE Group, opened the 2021 canoe season with a silver and a bronze medal at the Italian Marathon Championships on the River Arno in Florence.

Silver in the K2 Senior (26km) for Davide Marzani and Francesco Ciotoli, just 40 seconds away from the national title. Bronze for Rebecca Barbieri and Giovanni Penasa in the Mixed K2 Under 16 (11km). Rebecca also just missed out on the podium in the K1 Women’s Under 16 individual test, as did Jonathan Allen in the K1 Junior test: both came fourth with a touch of disappointment.

After the marathon events, attention will now shift to the sprints with the first selections for the national team, where the two promising stars of CUS PAVIA, Mathilde Rosa and Elena Ricchiero are aiming to win the sky-blue shirts to represent Italy at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
